Well did I say I was going to sit and knit and knit and knit last night?? HA! You would think that I would know better after having four kids! NOT!
I went and took the baby up to put him in bed, and left the three year old downstairs with Daddy..
And my knitting bag on the couch… with the yarn for my sweater in it.
After a few minutes, up comes Mr. Julian with two strands of yarn in tow.. with the dog right behind him tangled in the yarn!
You guessed it! He had pulled the yarn out of my beautiful center pull ball all the way from the living room, PAST Daddy, and through the dining room, through the kitchen and up the stairs (the semicircular ones) and across the hall and into the bedroom to me!
WHAT A MESS!
I got the dog half untangled, then the cat got interested.. so there I was trying to untangle the dog, getting tangled myself all while trying to save the yarn from the cat and go down the stairs at the same time!! Yikes!
Finally I traced back the yarn to the couch and it was a hopelessly tangled mess.. Finally having gotten Brian’s attention, he kindly helped me get it untangled..
I thought it was hopeless. But with his help we got the job done! It figures.. it was the bunch of yarn that I had taken to the knitting group the other night and was practicing the stockingnette stitch on my needles to make an H2O hat to match my sweater! See what I get for knitting with needles!!
Now the whole ball of yarn is COVERED with dog and cat hair! I have heard of people spinning their pet’s hair into yarn.. but this is a bit ridiculous!!
Needless to say I only got 5 rows done on my sweater!! Will have to try again tonight!
