Well the way my day started out I was thinking that mabye I should have stayed in bed.. 😕 I still have a cold, my nose is stuffy and I am tired! It is of course on these days that it is rainy and grey and cold outside. And also to be expected is that the baby will wake up earlier than usual.. so I got up, go the baby and actually managed to feed him a cup of yogurt and give him his ‘baby coffee’ i.e. bottle, BEFORE I got my own Mommy coffee..
Then after everyone woke up, and we managed to get some school work done.. the flood…
I tell you honestly.. I checked the laundry sink! I looked, there was NOTHING in it that would plug the drain! I CHECKED! And yet, I walked by the bathroom only to see a flood of water rushing out of the laundry room, all over the floor, and into the heating vent! I ran upstairs and grabbed all the nicely folded towels that I had just washed yesterday, and threw them into the wake..
Dug my arm into the laundry sink, up to my armpit and tried desperately to free whatever it was that was keeping the water from draining.
The culprit.. a piece of plastic! It had apparently been in someone’t pocket, and got swished out of the washer with the rest of the water!
See I said I looked..
Well then I started changing out the laundry.. and discovered that I had washed all of the kid’s Yug-i-oh cards.. ALL of them.. They were stuffed in my oldest son’s pants pockets!!
I was ready to cry!
I went and brewed myself some TheraFlu.. and put myself into a nice cold medicine stupor! We got some more school work done. My oldest actually did all but 4 problems on a math semster assesment when it usually takes pulling teeth or some other such threat to get 4 problems done.
So hey things were looking up!
Then Brian came home with.. CHOCOLATE! Yup, a nice box of Russian chocolates for me!

Dinner turned out great!
Then to top it all off our neighbour popped by with a package of valentine cookies for us! (in appreciation of Brian plowing the snow from his driveway about a week and a half ago!)
Well I also got some knitting done. I am experimenting with cables on my fine gauge sock loom! It looks pretty good so far, but pictures will have to wait, it’s not that long yet, so not a good view! But it should be done and taken off the loom soon, it’s just a little coffee cup cozy!
Perhaps tommorow!
All’s well that ends well eh? Or at least all’s well when it ends with chocolate and cookies!
