Well enough about all that other stuff! The contests are over, I haven’t won anything! So back to knitting!
My 30″ AJAL arrived today! With a ball of yarn for Azia! That Isela is so sweet!
And even a little something for Julian!
Jaxom is sick today so I gave the kids the day off from school work, how fortuitous! So naturally I took the loom apart and started swatching for the sweater!
Sweet! It’s purty, and nice and all those good words!
These colours are pretty, the duller colours seem to be landing together on the edges of the swatch and the bright colour in the middle. The colour sections are not so far apart as I thought they were so it looks like I will not get any striping effects, but it should still look nice!
It feels really soft which is good, because wool and I don’t often get along and I am not planning on wearing a turtleneck under this sweater!
I am going back to the original plan, of the simple style construction. So I will be making the sweater I want to make!
I also got to play with my EmbelishKnit the other night. I am working on turning some very thin and so far unusable chenille thread into some nice, and usable chenille ‘ribbon’. I plan to make a SUPER chunky loose knit scarf/wrap with it.
Well as you can see I have a few irons in the fire, along with other assorted projects, and the usual stuff so please forgive me if I don’t post as regularly as I have been!
Will try to keep up dates on the sweater coming! And look for a new and improved Gallery very soon! Showing a few more things I got finished!
