I owe I owe, It’s off to work I go!

No I am not running out of the house to work. I finally started my book projects. 😉

My row counter says that I am on row 101 on my second sleeve, somehow I don’t believe it. I have entirely too many little helpers around here, and that clicky slick red row counter is tooo tempting.(I see on the new Knit Happens online store that they carry cute pink locking ones!) So I am going to call for a recount, lest there be a plumping up of my progress! We wouldn’t want that now would we? My goal is to have it done by the Mother Daughter Tea on the 14th, so I can wear it! Now I just need a hat!

The prayer shawl is a few inches long, I am going to switch it off the circular needles and put it on straight needles (one of the whole 2 pairs I own) It’ll have to be my traveling project on Wednesday when we head to Columbus.

We now pause for a look at the future!

I have been finding myself in need of a shrug! I just really want one.. so I have decided to make one. When I was at the Yarn Harlot book signing, I got two balls of Noro Kureyon colorway 90. I found an Ebay seller that has three friends from dye lot L, for them, so I should have enough to make a decent go at a shrug.

I really want to make this

PRETTY

but I would be about 15 yards short I estimate, though the pattern make sleeves which are 19 inches long and my little short arms are not even close! (but I still estimate that I would need more!)I do think this would look absolutely stunning in kureyon..

Then there is this

COOL

With self striping yarn no need to weave in all those ends!! And there are a couple of great simple alternative versions of this out there! And I plan to make Jennifer’s Kidsilk pattern with the Kidsilk Haze I won!
AND I think that the 5 balls of kureyon would be enough to make it.. especially with my short arms..
Well we will see!
