Well, my day has started at 4:00 am. Azia woke up sick. (if you can’t handle accounts of sick kids then I suggest you skip a paragraph or two)
She was in the bathroom sitting on the toilet whimpering and crying, then she got that look. You know, the I’m going to throw up all over look. And she did. All over. The wall. The floor. And yep, me. My first birthday present today? We went four rounds of getting up till she finally slept for a good while.
Now I know this is not just isolated to me! I was feeling so ill yesterday that I had to call Brian home for the afternoon. He came home, and later in the evening wasn’t feeling very well either!
I sure didn’t get it this bad though! It seems she has inherited her father’s stomach. You know, the guy I watched through the emergency room doors throwing up and passing out simultaneously! That was when we were engaged, I should have known what I was in for!
Right now we are rethinking our plans for tonight! With Azia sick it looks like no date night for Mom and Dad! Oh well!

Well I was good and didn’t open my birthday package till this morning! I even waited till all the kids were awake!
There are two skeins of Cherry Tree Hill thick and thin wool!!! These things are HUGE! Then there is the 1000 yards of handspun fingering weight alpaca in a bone colour. OOOOOOOH so soooooft!
I got a card with $30 in it yesterday! That will have to go into the Great Lakes Fiber Show budget! One week away!
I got a cute E-card from Rebecca! Thanks Rebecca!! A nice little RAOK to start the day! Oooh you might know the yarn vendor my lovely Cherry Tree Yarn came from! My parents got it from Year Round Yarns at their booth at the Chancellor’s Sheep and Wool Showcase. I think that next year I need to actually attend this event!
Well enough excitement for now.
I leave you with the last thing I saw when I was 34.
Posing with my little snoozing superhero is my start on a knitted log cabin square, made from some of my Freecycle yarn stash!
