A Happy Accident

Well. I finished the One Skein Wonder. It was easy! It’s cute. It doesn’t fit. 😥
It fit fine till I put the ribbed edging on. I don’t understand it.
Is it because it is in cotton? Is it because I had a few stitches short of what was called for? Was my gauge off?

I pulled the edging out. And redid it. This time with the right amount of stitches, and a slightly larger needle than called for.

It STILL doesn’t fit.

It fits Azia fine. But she doesn’t like it.
So It went to Azia’s friend Sydney. The only person at church who noticed my hand knit sweater! She asked can you make that? I said why yes I did make it. She said I like it it’s nice..

So I took it in and had her try it on.

It fit, she liked it.

It’s yours I said.
So I sat in church and wove in the ends during the sermon… oops.. was that bad??

Unfortunatlly I don’t have a picture to show you. The camera batteries ran out of juice and the recharger has gone AWOL.

Oh well.

HEARD AS WE WERE EXITING THE HARDWARE STORE

Older Lady: “You are such a nice big sister!”

Me: “Who me? Oh I’m not their big sister!”

Older Woman “You’re the Mom?”

Me: ” Yep, I’m the mom!”
