The end is drawing near!

Well I have a pair of matching socks.. Not that I can show you state secret and all.
Here however is the prototype. It is different than the finished pair.

Oooh what a lovely foot!

I also seamed and blocked the afghan so things are moving along!
I tried working on seaming one of the other projects but it turned out pretty awful, so I moved on to more positive things.

It gets hard to do this detail finishing stuff when the kids are coming in the room and pulling on your work.
Caleb is the biggest culprit. He does clever distraction moves to get me away from my stuff then goes for it! You know Mommy isn’t manning that little box of 100 pins so now I can go for it!

I see a few days of sitting and wrapping up final details, fringing, writing and fretting over the finished projects. Also if there is time I will knit up a second smaller size of two of the items. These will not take up much time, so I think it will happen. So my thoughts turn to vacation, and knitting for myself.
I already made progress on the numbers bag. It was great beach knitting yesterday. If it gets dirty hey it doesn’t matter, I have to wash it to felt it anyway! It turned out I was not the only one knitting on our little beach. So that was cool! We had a nice afternoon. I even went in the water and played with the kids while Brian cooked up lunch. We hand fed a swan! That was pretty cool. And Caleb stayed out of the water! This does not bode well for ocean time! I am suprised because he really liked the Gulf of Mexico last year!
Well I am going to knit a few more rows of the numbers bag before bed. My reward for a job well done today on book projects!

The one for the book looks even better. I definately think it is an improvement. The part of the design I thought I would not like about this prototype (if I ever felt like wearing big blue & red knit socks to the office)is gone in the new one. Well done, Denise!

  3. It is looking good, keep chugging along, it will be over soon.

  4. I am happy to hear that i am not the only one who has sand in my knitting
