Why yes everyone needs one don’t they?
Here is where I sat and knat in Maine. It was pleasant. Most mornings I was up at dawn so I got to watch the sunrise over the ocean while I knit away.
I tried out some lace.
It’s rather crooked, I might sit down and try it again in the evenings when I can focus on it.
I was knitting this in the car, and in the cabin and all over so as a result it went all over.
The yarn is a Japanese yarn called Diakeito, Diamusee Fine. I bought it at Unique One. I like this yarn alot. It is 100 % wool and the colouring is great! It is sort of self striping like Noro but not quite..the colour changes are closer together. I used my new Addi Turbo needles to work with it. OOHH are there any other needles in the world besides Addis and Brittanys? hehehe. I am liking them! There is 239 yards in this ball..I am thinking this yarn may become a pair of shorty socks or wrist warmers knit up in the two needle method (Which I now totally get thanks secret pal!)as I think I am not a lace weight lace knitter.:???:
The other yarn I bought at Unique One was a skein of recycled rayon from Tibet. I picked it up thinking it was sari silk but discovered it wasn’t. That’s ok.. it will make a nice drop stitch scarf I think.
I also bought a little Lantern Moon bag I love it!! It is just the right size for a small project and I can walk and knit, chase a two year old and knit, and it is big enough to fit a small sock loom, or knitting board! (you can see it sitting on the fainting couch in the knitting spot pic)
I finished one half of my Noro shrug on the trip and cast on the other half. It was easy travel knitting and I could even knit it in the dark.
And made an H2O hat out of Lion Brand Suede for Brian. It has turned into the amazing growing hat for some reason and may get ripped out and knit smaller so it will fit. It took about two and a half hours to knit.
Well will have to keep catching up here. Isela sent me a meme, which I am working on. And we have just finished our first week of school here at home! So lot’s more to come!
