Well Knitter’s Fantasy was interesting!

 It took what seemed forever to get there!! I was there right at about 9 am which means by the time I signed in and oriented myself, I was a few minutes late for my first class. So I ended up sitting backwards at the table. The first class was Illusion Knitting. It was interesting and very good. I not only learned how to follow the chart to knit it I learned how to actually chart my own design.

This technique is well suited for loom knitting, once we get everyone reading charts!! I suppose you could write out the directions line by line but it would be rather tedious! (i just did the April Mystery KAL for Isela that way.. OI!)

Then there was lunch and a fashion show.. sorry I didn’t drag out the camera all day! I met Bonnie there (Hi Bonnie!) and she was super interested in my knitting loom.. I was playing around with it during lunch. I think we have another convert!!

Then a walk around the market. I was mainly looking for some sock yarn, or some kind of fairisle hat kit or something like that for color knitting but I didn’t really find anything like that.

I did pick up these on the swap table!

And I picked up three skeins of Casscade 220 to make some toys from my Unusual Toys to knit book!

The second class wasn’t so impressive. It was called ” the sweater that knits itself’ and should have been called the class that teaches itself. It was basically just sitting there and knitting this teeny tiny little sweater on teeny tiny little needles.. no instruction involved.. just sitting there following the pattern. I should have taken the Viking Knitting class.. naalbinding.. the ultimate ancient knitting without needles.. well there is always next year!
