On the serious side…

Here is exhibit A.. one dead coffee maker..

Now the life expectancy of my coffee maker wasn’t good.. it wasn’t long for this world but did my husband have to do it in by impaling it with a meat thermometer leaving me with only one cup of coffee and the comment that well you have the instant coffee??? I think not!Especially when I was up a good bit last night and I need to be ‘on’ today as I am babysitting my friend’s son who makes the tasmanian devil seem calm…

Guess were I am going tonight dear?? Yep.. coffee maker shopping!

On a more serious note (yes Stephanie.. there are things that are more important than coffee..)Today is my brother in law’s last day at home.. he is in the army and he is going off to his new post that is quite a distance from home..(it is close enough that it didn’t make sence to move the whole family there) and then we think for his second tour of duty in Iraq. He is an all around sincere nice guy! (albeit goofy and fun too!)

They have a little guy just a bit younger than our Caleb.. and my sister in law is expecting and due in October..Trevor will be home for weekends as much as possible while he is still in the states..but it’s still gonna be hard!  I certainly know what it is like to be preggo with a toddler in tow, with my husband around. I have done it twice now.. it’s not fun! I can’t imagine doing it without him around.  So all good thoughts and prayers and wishes for them are appreciated.

(psst.. and hey if you all tell me if it’s a boy or a girl I can knit up some really spectacular stuff…oh come on I won’t tell!)

  1. Good vibes for his second tour and for his pregnant wife!

    She is a strong woman.

  2. Good luck on that coffee pot! And I hadn’t thought about using one of those looms for socks….did ya turn a heel and everything?

  3. I just had to say…. “GASP, GASP and NOOOOOOO!!!!!” oh man, they just DON’T GET IT
