Ok really it wasn’t that bad. I spent a whole lot of time on Sunday trying something out that in the end didn’t work. I know I could make it work if I spent a little more time on it. however it’s not going to work out for this project! I got all my items in to the slave master Isela.. so it’s on from there..
We had a pretty good weekend! Saturday was busy for me..cleaning and minding the kids and going to garage sales to see if we could find some summer clothes..
Brian was out for the day being Tom’s pit crew at the race track. Tom came in third and they both got some pretty bed sunburn because it was just too cold to put on sunblock! hehehe Ok.. like this is totally not Tom in this pic. but see how sunny it was?!
Tom has my little motorcycle in his shop now! He is going to take it apart and see what makes it tick, put it back together.. hopefully in a manner similar to the original and see what needs to be done along the way. Bbye little bike!!
What else.. oh yes some pretty Cherry Tree supersock yarn came in the mail from Tam… at Knit Perchance to Dream.. as well as my Summer issue of Interweave Knits..my last issue:(
and after all the work knitting and fiddling on Sunday I cast on for the Lotus Lace top.. Pretty. I already messed up and so I need to tink two rows and see what’s up! I am thinking I might just not be cut out for lace knitting no matter how simple it seems! Of course part of the problem could be that I am working on it really late at night!!
I need to use the post it note technique and mabye even make a working copy of the pattern to beat up!
I am however liking the Bamboo yarn from SWTC.. it’s interesting it feels sort of rough really but I am sure it will soften up nicely when it is washed! It has an interesting feel to it!
What else.. hmm.. Well there has been little progress on my WIPS so this week should be dedicated to getting those done. I am at the toe on my ankle sock, and I have another small project that ran into a snag so I am tinking it back to try a new approach. I should have that little project done and a pattern out by week’s end!
Well I have some toy sorting to do.. and some house cleaning and on and on. We quit early today with the schoolwork.. got all the stuff we needed to do done. So that’s not bad at all! dinner should be easy tonight which leaves lot’s of time for knitting!!
