Well this week has been busy. And has been full of headaches!
Right now my face feels like it is going to split open!
Anyway.. I have a finished object.. but I can’t show it to you till after the weekend..
We are going out of town to my brother’s high school graduation!
So between vacation bible school this week and the headaches and trying to get the house in order and hav enough clothes for everyone to wear this weekend.. you get a pitiful post..
My test knitters are trying out Jiree.. and well just when I thought my week was going bad.. I got this email from Pam!
I am afraid I haven’t been working on the project too much these past 4 days as we FINALLY got dry weather here in NY & had to shear not only OUR alpacas but customers alpacas & very large wild llamas! Nothing more entertaining by the site of me trying to shear the belly of a Chuck Norris llama that has a karate kick like you would not imagine! This llama was …well…. his back was at my chest level & I am 5’4″ !!! Mark had his arms around his neck at base, trying to restrain him while I sheared with electric shears. Mark being tossed about up off the ground as the lama rears up… kicking at me, VERY expensive shears flying through the air as the llama throws a sharp blow to them while in my hands… My hand is bruised badly…. shears landing in gravel 4 ‘ away!
He kicks so loud & forceful his leg swoshes like Chuck Norris’s do during his heroic karate/kick boxing stunts! LOL!!
Needless to say…. We will NEVER shear those llamas again!
After being battered & bruised by these very bad mannered llamas Sunday…. in the 90 degree heat…. I was faced with a 13 hr overnight shift at hospital…. then a 17.5hr shift again last night & today (7pm last night till 12:30pm today! Yep! The hospitals surgical unit nurses all called in this morning so the night shift got mandated to stay until they could get replacements to take over for us.
I just got home 30 min’s ago & am exhausted!
