I knew something was wrong, terribly wrong when I saw a thin strand of pink yarn stretched across the hallway floor from my son’s room over to my daughter’s roon as I crested the top of the stairs. I had set the yarn down in my room earlier as I sat to work out the intended stitch pattern for the socks I planned to make.
I turned and went first into my son’s room, where I found the yarn went under his bed. I gently pulled it out. It was a small amount, I followed the thin pink strand to my daughter’s room, where I found the bulk of it, and the cat. Needless to say the cat has gotten the cold shoulder and the boot off the bed.. no comfy cuddling for you foul feline!
Here is the result..
It’s tangled but it held up well. No breaks to speak of. This should be some nice strong sock yarn. The thing is the yarn was sitting on the side table, next to my bed, under two sock loom, next to my sleeping husband.. you would think he would have heard something!
It would take a bit of careful untangling, but it would be ok. That was till I went downstairs in the morning.. and discovered about 20 yards of it wrapped around the diningroom tables and chair legs. That had broken off.. but it took it being tangled around the whole table and 3 chairs before it did.. GRRR.
Let the untangling commence. Needless to say this yarn will be locked up tight from now on.
Last night Brian saved a ball of yarn from her..he thinks he should get a ‘reward’ … hmmmm..
