Last night I was talking to Isela and we were talking about some garments for some set dressing at the Knitty Gritty show. We had talked about them before.. but the subject had kinda gotten dropped till now. Needless to say I ended up at the post office 24 hour kiosk to send an Express Mail package.. which was not a problem last night..the kids were in bed, Brian was home to keep and eye on them and the weather was fine… till I went to put the package in the package drop.. it was jammed, apparently someone had tried to send all their fruitcakes early or something..that led to this morning’s adventures..
30 minutes getting kids dressed and bundled up
5 minutes convincing kids to stop trying to make snowballs and pummel their mother with them.
10 minutes getting them all wrangled into the van and buckled and get the dog in the house.
10 minutes for a normally 5 minute drive to the post office.
5 minutes waiting in line at the post office to actually hand the package to an actual person to make sure it would get on it’s way and on time.
10 minutes wrangling the kids out of the post office and back into the van (Caleb was blown off course in the white out conditions)
10 minutes for afor said should be 5 minutes worth drive back to the house.
3 failed attempts to get up the driveway.. the fourth was the charm after a short drive around the block to build up momentum.
