I suppose I am holding close to my children more than I thought.
While we grown up folk attend informational and business sessions about the goings on of our church around the world.. the kids have their own activities.
Starting tomorrow, those activities include field trips! Jaxom and Azia will be going on a service blitz with their groups. They will be helping to clean up a neighborhood here in Richmond.
Julian will be heading to the children’s museum.
When I agreed to bring the whole family down here for the conference I hadn’t banked on my kids going on field trips in a strange city.
Kinda puts me in a bit of a quandary.
My first instinct was to volunteer and go with them. yep.. sacrifice that’s what I am all about.. go on a service blitz.. go to an amusement park with the Jr high kids..off the the children’s museum. I was pouring over the schedules seeing how I could fit them all in.
But , I don’t know. I think instead I should let them go on their own. After all they have more than capable chaperones, and today’s sessions went fine. AND I did leave them with grandma(s) for 10 days to go to Hawaii.. what’s a little field trip?
It’s still …. so….. hard.
Well. They are all growing. So I suppose it is time for me to do a little growing as well.
At least I still have this one for one more year!
