Well being out of town and all doesn’t lend itself to a nice pictorial how to’s day for you all! So I surfed a bit and came up with a few little interesting articles for you to look over!
First up: Fit and Finish by Knitterly Notions. A nice little piece about how gauge and stitch effect the size and fit of your knitted pieces.
And just for fun, how about a nice article about steeking? Here is one by Eunny Jang. This is the one I used during my first steeking adventure. And now that I know how to crochet, I think next time it will go much better. I think steeking is a really good skill for loom knitters to pick up actually. Then we can keep knitting in our fast little tubes and still make some neat stuff! Check it out! (It’s totally not scary really!)
Oooh I forgot how long that was!! Well now don’t you want to try steeking? I think we should. It turned out well for me!! See:
It didn’t fall to pieces! Really! cool eh? ooh I liked that sweater. That one was hard to give back to KnitPicks!
Well off to another day at the conference! Bbye! I’ll show you my travel knitting tomorrow!
